SUMMARY:De Naples à Chantilly : les collections de la reine Caroline Murat
DESCRIPTION:Caroline Murat (1782-1839)\, sœur de Napoléon Ier et reine de Naples dès 1808 aux côtés de son époux Joachim Murat\, fut une grande mécène surnommée la « reine des arts ». Passionnée par la baie de Naples et les sites antiques de Pompéi et d’Herculanum\, elle constitua une collection remarquable en soutenant des artistes majeurs tels que Ingres\, Rebell ou Canova. L’exposition reconstitue cette collection grâce à d’importants prêts et à des œuvres récemment réattribuées\, invitant le public à un voyage entre Naples et Chantilly. Un accent particulier sera mis sur les paysages napolitains et vues du Vésuve.
