DESCRIPTION:Auguste Herbin (1882-1960) a vécu pendant 18 années au Bateau-Lavoir et a participé activement à toutes les ruptures créatives du XXe siècle. Le musée de Montmartre est le premier musée parisien à consacrer une exposition rétrospective au peintre\, dans la ville où il a créé toute sa vie. Elle retrace les sept périodes de création du peintre : postimpressionnisme\, fauvisme\, cubisme\, objets monumentaux\, nouvelle figuration\, première et seconde abstraction.
